Interval Sets is a simple, easy to use application for your iPhone and iPod Touch, allowing you to set-up collections of timers for when you want to work-out or anything that needs pre-defined timers.

So if you are off to the gym to have a run on the treadmill simply add a new Interval Set, maybe name it ‘Treadmill Workout’, then add an interval named ‘Run Fast’ set to 30 seconds and another named ‘Run Slow’ set to 30 seconds. You might want to do this 5 times (rather you than me) so you set it to 5 repetitions.

When you are ready to go start up some motivational music, select the Interval Sets application, pick the set and press start....

Interval Sets uses a simple layout so you know what interval you are on, how long you have left and which repetition you are on, so when you are getting close to the end and your vision is all fuzzy you can still see what’s going on.

Almost perfect

I looked at a bunch of interval timer apps and this is the best of the bunch. You can set up any type of timer (can even make a pyramidal cardio timer). It works with the lock on (many of the other timers don't).

Only problem is that I can't hear the blasted thing. Would like to be able to turn it up or, better yet, choose a tone for each sub-timer so you can tell high/low reps from each other.

Simple but good

I like that I can set the amount of intervals, and the app will just loop through each sprint/rest interval x amount of times. Other apps i have to manually enter each sprint/rest interval. My common workout is 30 intervals of sprint/rest. So i'd have to enter 60 items. No thanks. With this app, i was able to make a 30 interval workout maybe about 30 seconds. Nice!

Ideally i'd like to simply set a total workout time, and have the app just loop through the intervals until the time expires. But setting the amout of intervals works almost as well.

I would also like separate sounds on each sprint/rest section of an interval.

Overall, i'm happy with this app, as it does what i need in an efficient way.

Doesn't work when not in foreground. Not much use at all.
Interface is very plain and clunky as well.
